Welcome
Welcome

» Research studies by the National Institute of Health (NIH) have determined that over 50 million Americans (about 1 in 6) suffer from chronic, intractable pain.

» Although approximately 20-60 million people suffer from pain, only 9 million seek treatment.

» As the population ages, more people will need pain treatment, yet many physicians don’t practice the interdisciplinary approach and don’t know where to refer patients.

The National Pain Institute practices an interdisciplinary approach to pain management. The Institute’s comprehensive pain management treatment team includes:  physicians, physical therapists, biofeedback technicians, psychologists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and case managers.

  • The interdisciplinary treatment approach is recognized as the most effective method for pain management according to the American Academy of Pain Management and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
  • All programs are individually based on comprehensive medical evaluation and assessment in three key areas:

                      -Assessment of neuro-muscular system

-Assessment of emotional and mental response to pain

-Assessment of physical activity and function

  • Physicians at the National Pain Institute are board-certified or board eligible in pain management.
  • The National Pain Institute offers services in six Florida markets

    • Tarpon Springs (Holiday)
