Jason DeLuca, MD
It has been a few months since my last visit. It is always a pleasure coming to NPI and especially seeing Dr. Deluca. Today I returned to find a possible staff change at the front check-in desk . I was initially met by an unfamiliar staff member who checked me in and did not show the normal courteous reception in which I’ve become used to. My check-in felt “cold” and I did not feel valued as a patient. During my check-in the only words replied to me was “your co-pay is $…”.
However, after receiving my care and after my appointment, I was nearing the check-out desk and seen Heather. She asked me how I was doing, I informed her I was just about to leave and she offered to assist me after noticing other patients in line to check-out. While she was attending to me, two other staff members approached Heather with questions and she quickly answered their questions while simultaneously assisting me. It is very good to see staff member Heather adding much value to NPI. I remember speaking with Heather during check-out in the past. It would be nice to have her “up front” for patients to conduct business with. Thanks for taking the time to assist me, Heather!
THEY TREAT YOU AS FAMILY
I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF NATIONAL PAIN INSITUTE FOR OVER 3 YEARS NOW. I HAVE SEEN ALMOST EVERY PHYSICIAN/PHY ASST AT THE OFFICE AND THEY ARE ALL FIRST RATE PHYSICIANS. THIS IS NOT A “PILL MILL” CLINIC….THEY ARE EXTEMELY CAUTIOUS IN PRESCRIBING MEDICATION AND MAKING SURE PATIENTS HAVE THOROUGH EXAMINATIONS/TESTING PRIOR TO TREATMENT.
I FIRST SAW DR. DELUCA LAST YEAR AND HE GAINED MY UTMOST RESPECT IMMEDIATELY.HE IS VERY CARING, SINCERE, AND IT IS CLEAR THIS IS NOT JUST A “CAREER” TO HIM, BUT A “CALLING”…I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM AND NATIONAL PAIN INSTITUTE TO ANYONE WHO IS IN TRUE PAIN. THEY UNDERSTAND AND REJOICE WITH YOU WHEN YOU ARE IMPROVING. THEY TRULY EMPATHIZE WHEN YOU ARE NOT. TO SUM IT UP, THEY TREAT YOU AS FAMILY AND THAT IS RARE IN TODAY’S MEDICAL WORLD.
